Close the cover of the rain collector. Press [RESET] of STR928 after installation. THE SOLAR TRANSMITTER The solar transmitter makes use of solar energy to power the anemometer. Two pieces of UM3 or "AA" - sized batteries are needed as back-up power. Note: It is recommended to insert two UM3 or "AA"-sized super lithium batteries for weather condition under 32°F. For the solar transmitters to function properly, make sure the solar receptors on the transmitter is exposed to sunlight and the connectors of the connection cable are securely plugged in. SECTION 1 INTRODUCTION Congratulations on your purchasing the RGR 968 Rain Gauge. The Rain Gauge measures the total amount and rate of rainfall. The Rain Gauge is a part of the Cable Free Weather Station (WMR112A). If you want to see readings for the total amount of rainfall and the rate of rainfall you need to own a WMR112A main display unit. The rain gauge is powered by solar transmitter STR928 that is included in this package. SECTION 2 INSTALLATION TO INSTALL IT 1. Unscrew the solar transmitter STR928. Plug in the connector of RGR968 into the solar transmitter as shown. Secure the screws again. `AA' Um3 1. 5V `AA' Um3 1. 5V SECTION 3 OPERATION RAINFALL The rate of rainfall can be displayed in mm/hr or in/hr. To select the display unit, 1. Press the rainfall window. Press [UNIT] for the desired setting. Open the cover of the rain collector. Remove the fiber tape from around the bucket assemblies. To display the yesterday's rainfall and the total rainfall from the last cleared date, 1. Press the rainfall window. Press [MEMORY] for the desired record. Yesterday rainfall will be displayed with "YESTERDAY" shown in the rainfall window. Total rainfall will be displayed with "TOTAL" shown in the rainfall window...
