Do not place the unit under direct sun light or in high humidity environment. Do not leave the probe in water / soup for long time. Do not immerse the prode in rhe water / soup over 212°F (100°C) more than 1 minute. Meter / Soup containing potassium and magnesium will make the measured reading higher than actual Meter / Soup containing starch or in jelly form will make the measured reading lower than actual Oil in soup will attach on the surface of the probe head that will affect the measurement result so remove oil layer on soup before measure Meter / Soup must be stirred well before measurement The meter must be immersed into soup for at least 5 seconds to take the measurement During measurement, probe head must be apart from the surface of container for at least 1 cm Only the probe head can be immersed into water. The main body is not waterproof design so cannot be clean under water. Use neutral detergent to clean the probe Clean probe head carefully after and before each measurement. Any deposit on probe head surface will affect the measuring result. The unit is designed for testing on food only. Keep the unit away from children.
