Also check if the dosing amounts recommended on your detergent packs correspond with the preset basic dosing amounts of the washing machine. Adapt the preset water hardness if necessary The water hardness of your washing machine is set to "soft". Check with your regional water supply authorities or by using the test stripe provided with your washing machine, if the hardness of your water is also "soft". Refer to the picture on the right to understand how to interpret results from the stripe test. If your regional water hardness is not "soft", adapt the water hardness setting of the washing machine as follows: 1 Press and hold the buttons marked with and “+” simultaneously for at least 3 seconds. On the display, the symbol for the “soft” water hardness level blinks: 2 Press the button marked with “+” to select “medium” water hardness: % = soft = medium = hard or “hard” water hardness: If you want to reduce the selected water hardness level, press the button marked with "-". 3 Confirm the selected water hardness by pressing the button marked with “Ok”. % Check the preset detergent dosing value and adapt it to your detergents if necessary (Detergent calibration) Important: during this phase do not consider the local water hardness; simply follow the instructions below.
